The Academic Strategic Planning Department (ASPD) is a Centre of Responsibility or Pusat Tanggungjawab (PTj) under the portfolio of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic & International), Universiti Malaya. ASPD emerges from the integration of Academic Strategic Planning Cetre (ASPC) and Academic Development and Enhancement Centre (ADEC), marking a new era of academic excellence at UM. The ASPD is structured into 5 divisions:
(i) Academic Planning & Monitoring Division (BPPA)
(II) Academic Policy Division (BPA)
(III) Digital Learning Division (BPD)
(Iv) Teaching & Learning Innovation Division (BIPP)
(v) Learning Analytics Division (BAP)
ASPD, as a whole is led by Prof. Ir. Dr. Rozita Yusoff, who brings extensive expertise and visionary leadership to the role.
Our mission is to empower the academic community at Universiti Malaya by developing, implementing, and continuously improving policies, curricula, analytical strategies and trainings that meet the highest standards of educational excellence.
We strive to align our initiatives with the evolvong needs of higher education, ensuring compliance with national and international quality assurance standards.
• To provide trainings for academic and leadership development to UM academic community.
• To offer advisory service and consultation on academic-related matters to UM academic community.
• To promote and support innovative and scholarly approaches to educational development.
• To facilitate a platform for sharing good practices in academic-related matters.
• To create awareness on work-life balance in career growth.
