About us

The Academic Strategic Planning Department (ASPD) is a Centre of Responsibility or Pusat Tanggungjawab (PTj) under the portfolio of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic & International), Universiti Malaya. ASPD emerges from the integration of Academic Strategic Planning Centre (ASPC) and Academic Development and Enhancement Centre (ADEC), marking a new era of academic excellence at UM. The ASPD is structured into 5 divisions:

We aim to empower excellence in education and institutional growth by delivering innovative solutions in academic program development, teaching and learning enhancement, and regulatory compliance. Through data-driven decision-making and advanced learning management systems, we strive to foster a transformative and sustainable academic environment.

  2. Enhance Teaching and Learning: Promote effective teaching practices and student-centered learning using advanced tools and training.
  3. Ensure Policy Compliance: Uphold academic quality and integrity by aligning with regulatory and accreditation standards.
  4. Leverage Data for Improvement: Use analytics to monitor performance, guide decisions, and drive institutional success.
  5. Optimize Learning Management Systems: Provide robust LMS solutions and support to improve the engagement teaching and learning.
