The Academic Planning and Monitoring Division is responsible to review, evaluate, and ensure the continuous improvement of academic programmes offered in UM in terms of relevance, currency, capability, comprehensiveness and effectiveness.
The Academic Program Development and Monitoring Division plays a critical role in shaping the academic future of Universiti Malaya. It is dedicated to assist the development and monitoring of innovative programs that meet current and emerging market needs, ensuring graduates are equipped with the knowledge and skills to succeed globally. The division works closely with faculty, and the Ministry of Higher Education to develop, review and refine curricula, maintain academic excellence, and align programs with national and international standards.
Through data-driven analysis, quality assurance measures, and continuous improvement initiatives, the division ensures that all academic offerings remain relevant, competitive, and impactful. Whether it's creating new courses, enhancing existing programs, or benchmarking against top institutions worldwide, this division is at the forefront of academic innovation and excellence.
